Torsk is Home!
« on: March 22, 2011, 08:21:23 AM »
Torsk arrived home at her berth in the Inner Harbor on Monday around 1400.

The crew went aboard on Sunday afternoon to spend the night aboard the boat and maintain watches during the dry dock flooding. Good thing we did - the boat took a 10 degree port list after coming off the blocks around 0100, and required some work to move ballast in order to correct the list!

Everything was fixed and we had a wonderful afternoon for the ride home on Monday. I have posted a large album of pix on Facebook, but have included a few below. One was taken just after they opened the 36" flood valves in the dock caisson. Another shows the boat with the port list. Kind of weird walking around her when she was like that!

Thanks to all of you here for your interest and support during the seven weeks in dock.

Regards,

Gil
