My interest in subs came from two directions.   1.  Passing by USS Batfish twice a year for at least 25 years when visiting family in Claremore OK.  2.   The first time I saw the movie "Run Silent Run Deep"  And by my user id you can tell I am a ham radio operator technician class.

I finally walked through the Batfish in late June this year and wished I could have spent all day there.  Words can't describe what that experience was like.   I was in awe of the service and dedication of the men who served in the silent service.  GBY (God Bless You) veterans.
