The disk that this site is on in Florida is failing.  That's why things have gone downhill.  This forum will be hard to view/post in until a restore can be performed.

The restore is scheduled for 10 PM Eastern time on Saturday night (5/31/2008) and is supposed to take around 10 hours.

Mid-day Sunday we should be sailing smooth again.

Just a reminder about the downtime through the night tonight.

The status is supposedly going to be shown at this address:

Sunday should give us a totally refitted SUBMARINEMUSEUMS.ORG website in terms of speed and reliability.  Hang in there everyone.

Looks like we are back up, and after I messed with the database a bit (repaired) then everything should be ok.

Let me know how things work for you guys, and please email me if you have trouble logging in.

Everything is still working superbly for me, except for a minor glitch that happened RIGHT AFTER I sent the "everything is good" mass email out to all of you.  I hope that didn't throw any of you off.

So, it's check-check time for us.  Looking good so far.

Agreed.

If things continue as they should, we will have no further issues.  EXCEPT the tech notified me that he will be moving the server from his workbench back into the cabinet tonight around 10:50 PM eastern time.  He said it should take 5 minutes tops.  Maybe Jared won't drop it.  LOL  Anyway, this site will be down however long it takes to shut down, unplug, move, replug, and reboot the server tonight.
