FREEPORT (WREX)- A Chicago curator comes to Freeport to share part of World War II history. More than 100 people signed up to listen to Keith Gill from the Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry talk about the U-505 submarine. That's a German U-boat and the only submarine the US Navy captured. U-505 was only built to last 4 years, but it went through complete restoration and the U-boat exhibit opened in Chicago on June 5, 2005.
