There's a Mk. 79 for sale on eBay.  Only one bid and no reserve - current price is $19.99.  I believe that these were used on the 3"/50 guns.

The outside did.  The owner said that he was able to look through the lense.  It sold for $50 and change.    Pretty cheap for something like that.
