« on: February 18, 2009, 10:12:32 PM »
We all know by now that you can purchase submarine war patrol reports online from http://www.usssealion.com - John Clear.

Now these reports are available online (in a lower quality format) through HNSA.

http://www.hnsa.org/doc/subreports.htm (Link is dead: MWALLEN 8/22/2023)

Take a look, lots to read there.

Thanks to Rich Pekelney, John Clear, and Ron Martini for making this happen!  Now we can all do research "from principle sources!!!"  No more "someone told me once..."  We can get information from the reports!

Now just remember, if you've ever had the chance to compare deck logs with the patrol report -- funny how things change between the two!

Not only this source but those who have a website for a boat on Decklog now have a button to call up that boat's complete war patrol files.

Checkout my Picdua website: http://www.decklog.com/ss-382.asp  within the first few pages you will find reference to the Batfish. (Link is dead: MWALLEN 8/22/2023)
