Volunteer tshirts
« on: March 23, 2008, 12:22:22 PM »
Tom, did the Mobile Bay Base get that initial run of Drum volunteer tshirts printed up?  If so, I know they are for volunteers, but do you think they'll be available for purchase, perhaps through the Mobile Bay Base?  If they will be, I hope they printed some fat sizes (like 2XL) hehe.   ;D

Lance
We did get 50 printed and have distributed a lot of them to the USS Makin Island and the USS Gettysberg. We may have a 2xl left I will look. Also we have talked about printing up some with the same Octopus with tools but saying contributer in stead of volunteer and sell them. I think the Mobile Bay Base is working on getting the ships store on-line which would be a big help.

Wonderful!  If the Mobile Bay Base gets those tshirts printed I'd love to buy one.  If they get the ships store online I'll be glad to add it the link to it or ANY sub store that makes profits for the subs.

I was talking about the Batfish volunteer t-shirts, sorry if I confused you. However I think Lance wants one.

I was just saying that IF the Drum Contributor shirts are printed or will be printed then I'd buy one.  If they aren't or won't be, then I'd like to buy a Drum Volunteer shirt.  :)

Tom, whoever designed those Volunteer tshirts did a good job by the way.

THAT is what they should be selling in the gift shop (maybe minus the "Volunteer" at the bottom and replacing the tools in the octopus's tentacles).  Good job to whoever!

If it did not have the volunteer part on there, I would buy one, but I do not want to lie and say I am a volunteer there.

Here is an example of the BATFISH volunteer shirts I had made up.

We've done:  Blue/white, Black/white, ash/blue, dark gray/white & cardinal (yes, cardinal)/ white

Was thinking of doing some more, but need 25 to get a price break.

Those are spiffy too!  Did you sell any in the gift shop or were they strictly for volunteers?

Maybe the next batch could resemble the color of a dunagree work shirt with black print.
