GLNM&M new building
« on: September 18, 2009, 05:26:16 PM »
The new museum building for the Great Lakes Memorial and Museum has been built adjacent to the USS Silversides on the beautiful Muskegon Lake channel within sight of Lake Michigan.  We are gradually adding new displays and we have a superb new director, Bryan Hughes.  Our recent hull ultrasound shows the hull to be in good condition.  And our main diesels 3 & 4 are running sweet as ever.  So if you're in the neighborhood, stop by and check out the new museum.javascript:void(0);

Silverside's main diesels 3 & 4 are in good running condition and are run every Memorial Day.  They start right up like new.  Battle ready.

Yeah, I just wanted to see some video of them.  Being in OK, I'm not sure when I'll be able to see her on Memorial Day.   ;)
