Nancy (aka Brenda Starr) here. Will be supporting this great cause. Member COD Base, USSVI.
Late brother was CO, USS Salmon; XO, USS Runner; Officer, Sirago; Program Mgr. Tomahawk testing/development. Salmon might still be serving her country on the bottom off the coast of New England as was used for "training"

Hi nancy
Fuuny you should mention Salmon... I live in ct and was informed by the commanding officer of sub group 2 newlondon that there was a boat there that i might be interested in photographing.
anyway i went down there and they were in the process of getting her ready for her next assignment as a sonar target on the bottom. i had full run of the boat for about three hours.. was really interesting to be able to explore and take pics.. just thought youd be interested... regards....Lester

Lester: Thanks for info about your visit to Salmon. While she didn't become a memorial boat, she continued to serve her country. She is loved by many
