Title: Sub museums in Long Beach?
Post by: Lance Dean on November 08, 2008, 09:23:08 PM
I received this question today via email:

"I served aboard the USS Hector (AR-7) from 1969-72, and we were homeported out of  Long Beach .  There was a sub museum (WWII class) tied up near Hector's berth.  I have long forgotten the sub's name.  Any chance you could help me & whether that sub was moved elsewhere after the shipyard was closed?  I can't seem to find any clues on the web.  Thanks.

Dennis Stahl"

Any ideas for Dennis?
