A friend of mine noticed this on eBay. What a find! Was this model used in submarines?

Looks familiar (on COD), but I am not a tube jockey by any means... all our radios are black with phenolic knobs... I will pass this on to our radio guys to see what they say... :uglystupid2:

Our skipper, Dr. John Fakan (AKA -- MR RADIO himself!) says this about the radio:
"That rig wasn't used aboard any submarines -- wrong frequency range. The only parts that might be useful would be knobs, switches, and possibly a few vacuum tubes. Seems almost sinful to tear it apart for those components.
How about our CV sisters? This would likely be exactly what was aboard INTREPID, LEXINGTON, YORKTOWN, etc."

Thanks for the info Paul. I know nothing about this kind of stuff. :)

HNSA, under their handbooks, lists radio equipment by types and also lists where each piece was normally used. I have used that file to look at what is on the Marlin to compare and see where else I might find a couple of pieces of equipment that are missing. I don't remember the exact name, but have the file saved if anyone might need it.
