Museum Submarine Discussion / Navy Ships at San Diego Naval Base (Zumwalt, Littoral Combat Ship, Nimitz) 4K

Alright, so it's not a museum but it is a related attraction I'd encourage members to go on.  Photo montage video I put together of all the Military ships & equipment I saw while on a harbor cruise this past January.  The tour does take you right by Naval Base Point Loma, the homeport of several Los Angeles - class subs, however during my visit they were all deployed.    Nonetheless I still got to see some REALLY COOL stuff including the USS Zumwalt, both styles of Littoral Combat Ships, a Nimitz Carrier, a couple Wasp Assault ships and countless other naval vessels, choppers and F/A-18's.

So for anyone planning on going to San Diego to see the B-39 Foxtrot sub or USS Midway, hop on the 2-hr tour San Diego Harbor Tour and you'll get to get closer to active Navy Vessels than I thought was ever possible!

Not good!

Yikes not good at all!  Wonder how they were able to estimate it would need $10 million in repairs to get it fixed.  My advice to anyone reading this is go see the B-39 in San Diego ASAP if you'd like to see the inside of a Foxtrot sub without leaving the country.  I was there back in Jan of this year and its condition was looking pretty neglected as well.

Any more news about this sub?  I stayed on the Queen Mary while on vacation a couple months back.  I asked one of the Queen Mary tour guides what the situation was and they told me the sub had a crack in the hull, and that if it's buoyancy were to shift it could sink.  I forgot exactly why but he told me the sub couldn't be lifted out nor could it be towed out without spending big money.  Really hoping somehow it can be rescued.  I'd hate to see yet another Russian sub scrapped.
