*cough* *cough*

I knew my world would change when I had kids, and it sure has. All of my hobby side projects have been put on the wayside for quite a while now. While this place is dear to me, and I've made sure not to get rid of any of this, I haven't had the time to update and push.

Sometime in the not so distant past, social media took a huge leap and made individual website forums a lot less popular. I get that. I try to share interesting things going on at various museum submarines on our Facebook page.

It seems it could have been much worse. Thank for keeping up on this, guys.

I hope the vandals are found and the true story of why comes out.

So my webhost upgraded the server software and I'm seeing some errors. I hope I can figure out how to address the changes.

Yeah, like Rich said, try Google Drive. You can upload a lot there and make it shareable in different ways.

Dang Rich, I'm impressed with your vast knowledge of all things submarine, and even more with what stumps you! As Mike said, I've never even thought of that.

Glad you're still around!

It is sad. I believe we'll never have another full size museum submarine, only partial displays.

It looks good to me! I know it's hard to put color back. Much easier to remove it.  ;)

USS Lionfish (SS-298) / Re: Posting my Lionfish picks
« on: April 07, 2017, 08:06:49 AM »
Hi

Having a time posting my pics on the Lionfish that i took this year.
I posted some before but now when i post it says the file is to large.
I never changed the size of my files when i did post before.
Did they cut the fie size down on the attachments?

Help

I haven't changed the attachment size limit, but I do try to conserve the space here. Space is limited for the forum on this server. I'd like to see the pics though, do you have an external place for photo storage?

Any more news about this sub?  I stayed on the Queen Mary while on vacation a couple months back.  I asked one of the Queen Mary tour guides what the situation was and they told me the sub had a crack in the hull, and that if it's buoyancy were to shift it could sink.  I forgot exactly why but he told me the sub couldn't be lifted out nor could it be towed out without spending big money.  Really hoping somehow it can be rescued.  I'd hate to see yet another Russian sub scrapped.  :-[

I'm curious about its fate as well. It's disappeared from any news updates on the web. I assumed it would be towed and reefed, but sounds like it may just rust away in place.

Had a blast down at the 75th, and I hope to get there more often.
