I got a notification today that on May 8th the server this forum/website is on will be undergoing some upgrades.

Therefore, I do not know if this forum/website will be available on that day.  The upgrades include updating the PHP version on the server, which this forum is based upon.  Hopefully it will still be here and function after the upgrades are done.

I just wanted to let you know ahead of time.  Keep your fingers crossed, it's beyond my control!

Will it be an overnight upgrade when server traffic is at its lowest or the middle of the day, like a lot of the online MMORPG games?

The notification I received didn't specify anything other than it was going to happen May 8th.  They didn't even say if there would be any downtime.

I doubt there will be any downtime, and maybe an hour if there is.  No real idea.

Update:  I missed the time specified when I first read the announcement.

It will be at 11:59 PM EST on May 8th.  So hopefully on the morning of May 9th we'll still be here.

Dang...thats when I am most active online. Man I really need to get my hours turned around. This vampire night lifestyle is going to catch up fast.

The forum is back up (at least for now).

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY ERRORS AT ALL!

This included the inability to post or see attachments or anything unusual.
