Title: Control Panel Indicators
Post by: Mark Sarsfield on May 22, 2008, 03:02:40 PM
Does anyone know what voltage bulb the Navy commonly used for control panel lights?  I'm guessing that it was some oddball voltage like 4.5V.  I was looking through the 1MC manual that the Torsk crew gave us and the schematics did not show a voltage.

I would like to see some of our control panels lit up for our reenactrment events and one idea that I have is to just install small battery packs with alligator clips to energize the original bulbs.  Radio Shack sells different kinds and they usually have a small switch.  Our Christmas Tree is already using Christmas lights, but I'd like to leave other panels intact.

Ya know that you could always ASK the Torsk crew for what voltage they are running because they will tell you and try to help you as much as they can...
