Got to thinking...Didn't USS Requin travel the longest distance inland to become a sub memorial?
What distances did other inland memorials travel and how?
Read earlier today about Requin's rusty hull in need of a costly "face lift." Reminded me of a story I wrote about her that was published in a 2011 book by the Military Writers Society of America: USS Requin -- A Lady's Amazing Journey.
Give some thought to "cookie cuttering" my story for other sub memorials/museums; submit to area newspapers, magazines. Here 'tis....
