Found another article, although kind of late, but here it is!

http://goliath.ecnext.com/coms2/gi_0199-7971889/Navy-research-submarine-to-dock.html

exerpt:
"...Museum officials passed another regulatory hurdle this month when the San Diego Unified Port District approved berthing the Navy sub at the museum on site the Embarcadero along North Harbor Drive...Once the vessel obtains a final permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the submarine will join the rest of the museum's seven ships, including a Russian Foxtrot class submarine, and will be moored alongside the ferryboat Berkeley, Ashley says... "

More great news to come!
KEEP WATCHING.

Yeah, no russian music. How about some of the songs from the naval academy? I was watching some good submarine videos on youtube and they had some really interesting takes on music there.

Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody comes in mind.. but thats another story.  :2funny:

« on: July 28, 2008, 08:49:23 AM »
Found something to watch - the last run of the engine (supposedly) and the siren test for the Diesel Power Magazine (just guessing again). Link to the webpage here: http://www.dieselpowermag.com/search/video/index.html?SearchText=uss%20dolphin&SearchSource=Site

Due to copyright infringements and stuff I didn't put this on my blog, but I'm giving you the page url to go look at it yourself.

Lance,
Just take some of them from my blog. I already got permission from the people who took the pictures.
Also, we have a cd from the reunion that has all of the "dolphin" pictures from the dedication to deactivation.

David.

HI. I have a question for all you subbies out there - I posted a picture of a submarine on my blog
and was wondering which kind was it? I'm pretty sure that its a Los Angeles class. Another blogger (not mentioning)
says its the Dolphin.

Feedback appreciated.
