Title: Does your sub offer overnight visits?
Post by: Lance Dean on May 05, 2008, 09:39:30 PM
Yep, that's right, are there sleepovers in your sub of choice?  I've read where some of them do.  If so, what are the rules and regulations?

The Batfish has just started this program last year, and is looking to start doing more of them. Rick will have to fill you in on the specifics.

We just started.   All overnighters are based on availablility of Museum staff.  Anyone wanting to stay the night will need to call the museum to make arrangemenst.

Noooooooooooooooooo waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

We do some staff sleepovers during the summer. Very fun. But let some spoiled over-stimulated kids ravage COD? OMDB

Kidding aside, we could not do the level of restoration we have aboard COD AND let kids stay overnight. We chose to skip the money and go for the added level of realism. It seems to work and we get credit for sending lots of scouts to USS SILVERSIDES.

Torsk does overnights and it is well worth the trip and IF you show up on friday night and stay the night at 0730 the local crew takes over and turns two and commences fixing the boat....  ;)
