Just so you guys know, the www.SaveOurSubmarines.com website is no more. Lockwood Internet Base is still selling the "Preserving Our Heritage" patches and they're still supporting submarine museums. There was just a lack of interest in the website so Ron decided not to renew the domain name.

It was hard to read the way that he had laid it out. This website here gets a lot more hits and provides a lot more information as to what we're doing on each boat.

Well, SoS was supposed to be all about restoration and saving.
This site was created for promotion, unity, and education.
I might add in something here now more about restoration, I dunno. You have to have a LOT of input from the boats when you get down to that.

"if you build it they will come"

It's like setting up a web site to create world peace... nice idea, but what can be done or how? This site is by and for the people with subs... something was missing from the other site... the hands-on crowd.
Oh well, this one is working so let's be grateful!

This site has come a long way since its creation. We're getting a lot more activity on here than we did when I asked for a museum sub-forum to be created on www.subsim.com.

Looks like you will be carrying the torch. Salute!

Speaking of SubSim, have you been playing SH IV, lately, Chris. I stopped playing in March when all of the new mods were still working out all of the bugs and I never got back to it. I want to get back in the game, but it takes more hours than I have to spare. I've been reading "Pig Boats" and going through SH withdrawal. :crazy2:
