Great job, and I thought you were still working, or don't you sleep at night.

The lumber business has practically stopped, therefore timber prices are down, therefore my self-employment has slowed to a crawl since around November of last year.

Glad you liked the video though.  I hope it draws attention.

That is a great video and I like seeing all of the subs at one spot.

Good choice of music, too.  It was a better version of the song than what I had found a few years ago on the net.  That version made it sound more like a lullaby.   :P

That's "Little Ducks" from the soundtrack to Crimson Tide.  The song is actually "Eternal Father, Strong To Save" aka "The Navy Hymn".  I love to hear it!

Thank you Gman.  I hope to redo the video soon since there are many more additions.  I'll have to find some new, better pictures.

Hmm...something is new here....what could it be?

http://www.submarinemuseums.org/video.html

If you like it and want to share it with others, here's the link for the YouTube version:

I've always wanted to learn how to embed Flash movies and host them here on the website, thus bypassing the loss of quality that you see when you use YouTube.  The only problem is the bandwidth issue.  So that's why I ask if you want to share the video where a LOT of people might be hitting it at once, YouTube can handle that better.  :)

I hope you enjoy!  It's just a small taste of what's in store for the convention thing.

Your new one is sharp - good work (lot's of work too).  Are we ready to promote this one?  I've got to send out a "last call for voting" this morning to NJS members.  I always like to give them something nice/interesting when I send out a POC message.   ;D

I'm fine with that.  This new YouTube video is for this website in the hopes that it will bring people in to find out more.

The "good" version of that video that is hosted here will hopefully also draw some people in.

So yes, go ahead and say lookie at this thang!

Nice video!  Hopefully, we will be able to take a photo of Torsk soon that does not have the teeth and eyes.

Thanks!

And you know, I really do like the teeth and eyes.  Yes yes, I know there is nothing historically accurate about it, but it is something unique about the Torsk.

I'm not saying that I'd be upset if the teeth and eyes were gone, just saying it's not so bad either, just not historically accurate.

What a great video.  There's nothing as solemn as The Navy Hymn too.  Nice job.

Lance, I have new pictures of the Marlin after it's paint job with the downtown area of Omaha in the background. As I mentioned on the video site, couldn't pick a better song for museum boats, especially the submarine verse. I sang in the choirs at San Diego and New London, and don't think there were too many programs that we didn't end with that song. The year we did the display and used your video at the convention, it went over very well.
Thanks for putting this up here.
