Who says that stuff sold in the museum gift shops is all ugly? Well, I said that and thought it was true, until I found this t-shirt at the Battleship Memorial Park gift shop this past weekend!
Front, this is on the upper left:

I'm hoping to grab another one of these soon somehow. In a different color of course. It seems like I saw this particular style shirt in green, yellow, and hot pink. I chose the green, as a fat man wearing banana yellow or hot pink shirts just don't look sexy at all. :) Hopefully another color though!

What's the cost on that?

If you are wanting t-shirts for your gift shop check with Gil Raynor or Ron martini ar www.submarineshop.com, they can make you anything and their prices are good and great quality. I think those were made locally here, I can check if you want.

The shirt was $17.00 even, before tax. It is also a XXL, which sometimes runs a dollar or two more than a L or XL shirt does. In this case I don't know because I never looked at the prices until I found my size. Either way, well worth the price. It's a good weight shirt too.

The back of the shirt says "TUBBY'S TEES" ... I think this is their website:

A Daphne, AL outfit, so that's good the Alabama Battleship Commission is at least using local people to make t-shirts for them. Tom, I hope the Drum gets some of that $17.00 I paid for the shirt, but if it doesn't, I'll at least hope it went to pay a tad of Lesley's salary or something!

as I understand it the proceeds from the gift shop are used to run the gift shop but a percentage may go into the general fund also. not real sure

Hmmmm,,,,,
I buy my locally. My shops would charge to much to print a shirt that elaborate. They charge my the shirt. I am already getting the Sub Shop guys into the shop. They have some items that will be nice additions to my gift shop.
