Title: mystery holder on dive station

Folks,

Do any of you have a holder that looks anything like the one in the photos on your boat? 

Any ideas of what it was used for?  My only guess is a stop watch, but why on the dive station?  Up in conning tower it might make sense, but not here.

No sign of your pouch... but I think you're on the right track as to what it's for!
