I'm Ric Hedman, Sailed on a Nuc (mostly) (fast boat) and a diesel (a little bit) (slow boat) and am the webmaster for PigBoats.COM.
http://pigboats.com
My primary web page is called "Through The Looking Glass" and is a photo essay of US submarines 1900 to 1940.
http://pigboats.com/subs/legends.html
The boat had to have at least been launched in 1940 to make the cut for inclusion.
I update as often as I can, sometimes several times a week, sometimes every few weeks.
I just updated with 15 Interior photos of the USS S-4 lastnight.

Now... I'm hitting the beach..

Wow!! i looked at all the photos from the S BOATS and the Fleet Boats i never knew much about fleet boats..now i did learn something its just so amazing to see so much history about the S-Boats and what they were like inside the boats and to see what the crews went through ...the fleet boats were nice too seeing some of the last photographs of the uss shark..and to see the story of the mascot of the Uss Gar..what i really liked about your website is ..beside the photographs u did good on ur captions makeing it easy for people even teens like me to understand
if a photograph had some history to it ..you added some paragraphs to them..which is really neat.and alot historical.. loved reading it!

Welcome aboard, Ric!
Pigboats.com has always been an awesome source of information on old subs that you can't find anywhere else on the 'net.
