Title: USS Seaviper movie

I understand that the film crew is in the process of filming right now in the Drum? April 29th - May 4th? How goes that?

Post by: Tom Bowser on May 08, 2008, 05:31:00 PM: Sorry I hadn't posted sooner but I am still trying to get back on normal schedule. If anyone thinks they want to get involved in the movie industry, you are definately crazy enough to serve on submarines.

All in all it went well, long hour 14-16 hours each night for nine nights. A lot of that time is set up and breakdown because the boat had to be open for visitors during the day. The actors are really good and very interested in making it a accurate as possible. They spent four nights filming in the conning tower and with 4 actors, the director, the camera man and all the extra lights it was real. About 105 and humid, they didn't need to use spray to fake sweat. They are coming back in July for another round and probably again later in the year to finish. The movie is going to be pretty good and as real as we can make it on a land locked submarine, angles and dangles are really hard to do when you can't tip the boat, (any one have a 2000 ton crane we can use for free). The last movie filmed inside a submarine was operation petticoat so this is going to be great to see.

Post by: Tom Bowser on May 09, 2008, 05:25:18 PM: Go to villani-rockhill.com this is the web site for the movie USS Seaviper. it is a low buget movie so there aren't any known actors but they are pretty good and because it is being filmed inside the Drum it will be somewhat realistic. We can't fire a torpedo (darn) or start up an engine but it is going to be a good movie.

Feature-Length Film, U.S.S. SEAVIPER, in South Florida

Crashing DC3’s, gun battles, and top secret meetings, are just a few of the scenes that a regional production
co-op headed by Villani-Rockhill Productions will be filming in Martin, St. Lucie, and Palm Beach Counties
over the next 3 months.

Villani-Rockhill Productions in co-operation with Statusfilms, Shoreline Production Services, Saturn Sound
Studios and TC Video will film eight scenes from the upcoming feature film, USS SEAVIPER, a World War
II submarine combat film. The story is about a submarine that discovers uranium on an island occupied by
Japanese and German soldiers in the south Pacific, while the Navigational Officer and Chief of the Boat
struggle for power, and USS SEAVIPER is hunted and depth charged by a Japanese destroyer.

Scene four, a “top secret” meeting that takes place in Hawaii during August of 1944 between Vice-Admiral
(Ralph VILLANI) and the Commanding Officer of SEAVIPER, Captain Culpepper (Steve ROTH), will be
shot at the historic home of Bill and Anne Krueger-Stimmell (Anne’s father, Karl Krueger, the former Mayor
of Stuart, Florida) on Saturday, June 28 from 7:00 am till 5:00 PM.

Director of Photography, Jon Schellenger, has chosen the RED camera for this project. USS SEAVIPER will
be shot on locations in south Florida as well as aboard an historic WW II submarine the USS DRUM, located
at Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile, Alabama. Additional locations will be shot in Wisconsin and New
Mexico.

The movie’s core, crew members are residents of south Florida: Ralph VILLANI/Director-Producer; Mike
TEUTSCH/Special FX Coordinator; Jon SCHELLENGER/Director of Photography; Rob NORRIS/Producer-
Chief Sound Mixer; Jane VEREEN/Line Producer; Greg JOCOY/Data Specialist; Bob Lutjen/Lighting
Design; Jose HERRERA/Assistant Director of Photography; and Alejandro MEJIA/Assistant Sound Mixer.
The script was written by Lynanne ROCKHILL, who also is a south Florida resident.

Thanks for posting that. I hadn't sen it any where else yet, how in the heck did you get it? I first heard of it when I checked my phone mesage at 0400 this morning. They called last night at 2200 but I don't answer the phone that late. They have a link to the film clip that is being used but I haven't been able to get ahold of them to get permission to post it yet, will do so as soon as I can.

They will come back some time in the fall to finish shooting so it probably won't be released until early next year. They are still trying to raise the money to finish filming.

"NOT EVEN TROPICAL STORM FAY COULD STOP THIS MOVIE!"

Scenes from the Feature Film " USS SEAVIPER" were scheduled to be filmed in mid August

but due to extensive flooding in Pt. St. Lucie caused by Tropical Storm Fay

they had to be re-scheduled.

On Friday & Saturday, September 19th and 20th, four scenes from the World War 2

Submarine Combat film " USS SEAVIPER" will be filmed at a park in Pt. St. Lucie,

Florida. In the scenes being filmed two American Pilots are shot down by Japanese

anti-aircraft fire while on a "Top Secret" flight over a small island in the South Pacific.

The Americans have information that ties Axis forces to a Uranium exchange on the

island and " USS SEAVIPER" a World War 2 Era Diesel Sub is sent to rescue the

downed pilots and gather information that will confirm Allied Intelligence's worst fears.

On the ground the downed pilots grapple with the jungle and life threatening injuries

while they are hunted by Axis troops and are forced to fight for their lives. (including

some pretty nasty hand-to-hand combat). The crew aboard the boat has their own

worries as the Navigational Officer and COB struggle for power, and " USS SEAVIPER"

is depth charged by a Japanese destroyer. Some of them won't make it out alive!
