PigBoats.COM photo feature has been launched.
The main page will display a close up image of a person or object with a link to visit the full sized photo.
We are doing this to help call attention to people or details that otherwise might be missed or overlooked.

Enjoy: http://www.pigboats.com/subs/legends.html

We are bringing a new feature to PigBoats.COMTM, that being a "Photo Feature" of a person or something interesting happening in a photo that may be missed by just casual looking. These will be a cropped detail from a larger photo. We will provide a hot link to where that photo can be found and seen in its entirety. This feature will update every Sunday beginning December 9th, 2012.

I have decided to no longer post notices to the Looking Glass page.
I do have an RSS Feed button and Link on my page that you can use to subscribe to the page to see any up-dates.
By subscribing to the page it is strictly a one way deal, I do not see or know who you are.

How to do it:
Here is a screen capture of my home page.
Notice right above the words "Last Update ~ July 27, 2011" is a button that says RSS Feed.
Click on that on the real page not this one;

After clicking on that a page will pop up that has this at the top.

Click on Subscribe and a box will pop up that looks like this;

It is as simple as that.

All you need to see if there has been an update to the page is click on the PigBoats.COM button and you will see a list that looks something like this;

GOOD LUCK and I hope you use this to keep up on what is happening to Through The Looking Glass.

Have a fairly clean photo showing Sealion at Cavite after she was bombed. National Archives photo and best I've seen of this for a number of years.

Got a really nice post WW I photo of the USS L-11 moored to a civilian dock someplace. No way to identify the location.

It's the attire of the guys on the bench that gets me. I just can't imagine working a sub dressed like that, even if it were the "fashion of the day" so to speak.

It just goes to show that courage and bravery are independent of attire.
These are with out much doubt employees of the Lake Torpedo Boat company and probably doing a demo run for a few big shots of some kind.

Added 10 photos from a scrapbook I acquired of the R-7 in dry dock getting painted and a few interior shots and a crew grouping around a caught Mahi-mahi.

I hope folks are taking the opportunity to subscribe to my RSS feed so you won't need to check this BBS to see if there is an update posted.

Last Sunday, (7/17), I upgraded to FireFox 6 Beta. It is much faster and all my AddOns came over with the upgrade. Very stable. In fact I'd call it rock solid!

I'm very pleased with it.
