Title: USS Razorback has a heartbeat!
Post by: Michael Hopper on April 12, 2013, 04:06:40 PM
Guys,
I wanted to let everyone know that for the first time since we got the boat back in 2002, we made three successful start-ups and runs on the number one today.  The Razorback crewmember's assoc was in town for their annual work week.  Those guys and the AIMM staff have put so many hours and blood, sweat, and tears into that thing.  Wanted to give a thanks too to the guys at Silversides for their input and suggestions.  We had to overcome some serious proplems, so thanks there.  There is video posted to the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum Facebook page for anyone that wants to see some smoke. You can also check the museum blog located at: www.aimm.museum.

I'll try to embed some video into a future post.

Welcome aboard Michael,

I am glad to hear that the Razorback has an engine running once more :smitten: and that hopefully you and your staff will be on here for a while to come, there is a lot of information posted between all of the boat links and other areas on this site.. Pull up a chair and if I can find my fellow wayward Fwd TM (whom is hiding the Gilly) there maybe a glass or two for you and your crew

It's great seeing one of these engines running, again.  Thanks for posting the videos.

BZ to your crew for their great job on the engine!
It's the best way to preserve the boat!    :)
