Post by: Gil Bohannon on September 19, 2008, 10:55:59 PM
Chief Mike sent me a few pix today, of the work done last Saturday aboard Torsk on the new deck forward.

Take a look at the link below.

Enjoy!

The major and somewhat easy work is done now and hopefully the Starboard side will be completed today, it is all custom fabrication work now from what I have been told on the phone a few minutes ago and she is looking GOOD 8)  can't wait to walk her deck forward for the first time in a couple of weeks

Thank you for sharing those pics!  The Torsk really has a dedicated bunch of volunteers.

While the Starboard side didn't get complete fwd they did get a LOT of work done last week and then on Saturday, this has been a long drawn out project that I am glad to see that the loop is finally closing on this one. We are now closer to being able to walk on our fwd deck then we have in the last 5 years and I cannot wait to see it all done just like I can't wait to see the Batfish's done also..

Looks great.

In our defense, we have twice as many bolt holes to choose from as the Torsk guys. :)  Warped wood doesn't help, either, but spacers should make the difference.
