Title: PHANTOM opens this weekend.
Post by: WW2SUB on February 28, 2013, 01:55:22 AM
Place your bets folks...... will it be a classic or fodder for Mystery Science Theater 3000?

I just heard that the new Submarine movie PHANTOM will open Friday.

It’s a low budget independent, but with Ed Harris as the Skipper..... It could be a good one.

Let hear your feedback on it.

I LIKE Ed Harris ever since Abyse. and Duchovney a little X-files there.

I understand that the boat is the B-39 in San Diego.

I also understand that the movie has a "what if" story line, based on some true events that occurred in 1968 off the cost of Hawaii.

Ah.  Interesting!  So, they took the information in Red Star Rogue and put it into a movie.  I think that book deserves its own movie, anyway, but there are too many pro-commie liberals in Hollywood to paint the Soviets as the b@strards that they really were.
