Title: I.C. circuit panel hook-up - details needed
Post by: Mark Sarsfield on March 20, 2008, 10:03:27 AM
Attention all boats,

Rather than posting this in each museum forum, I thought I'd put this here.  The Batfish would like to get her I.C. panels hooked up to live juice, again, but rather than inventing the wheel, we want to know (in detail) how the other boats decided to run power to the control room circuits.  Did you use the original shore power hook-up?  How did you by-pass the rectifiers, since you are already running AC to the AC Bus(ses)?  Any drawings and notes would be really appreciated.

While we are on the subject of electronics, how much juice is needed to get the radar motor running?  I know that the radar set, itself, uses 120VAC, 60Hz.  Did any of the electrical generators or electronics in the pump room have top be routed through or by-passed?  (same for radio room)

  Thanks to all.
