I think they oversold it "completely authentic" -- my ass!  Nice, but only about 40% authentic I say!  Oh well, we will see it in other films! But as a BB???

What's a BB? How is it not authentic?

Floyd:

A BB is Navy shorthand for Battleship.  CA-heavy cruiser, CL light cruiser, SS for sub, etc.

The ad for the set elements said it is a completely authentic submarine set.  Well it will remind you of a sub, but it doesn't look exactly like any fleet boat I've seen.  But when the movie magic is added (as in DOWN PERISCOPE) it can pass I guess.

At least they got the set right :D as far getting things historically accurte on what the inside of a baleo class sub would look like. Hey did they do any scenes in the pampanito it self?
