I had a WONDERFUL time today meeting with you Cod guys, Rich Pekelney of Pampanito, and of course Tom Bowser.  We had an awesome time.  Attached is a photo of Emily and Kara in the aft engine room @ the Drum.  More on all of this later.

We all learned something important today about submarines... especially Kara, who learned that she is destined for duty aboard submarines!

The HNSA conference is over and the Drum is still in one piece, didn't even have to turn loose the guard dogs. It was great getting to talk to everyone and compare notes and boats, just not enough time. I talked to the Cod gang, Cobia, Batfish, Bowfin, Patriots Point, Pampanito, Battleships New Jersy, Wisconsin, Iowa, Keyport Museum, Naval History and Nave Sea and a bunch of others. I think the high point for every one was getting to watch a torpedo tube outer door coming open looking from the inside, about wore my arm off. I didn't take any photos-too busy talking but others took lots and maybe they will get posted after every one rests up.

Here's some pictures Tom!  Thanks for showing me around Drum! It was nice chatting with you. I just wish would have had more time to explore!

Gee, maybe the Torsk crew should stay home. We generally look for easy targets.  You know, though, we could take this as a challenge.   ::)
