Thanks, Lance.

Yeah, I'm new to the forum, but a long-time blogger who is going to try to visit every sub around the country and document them all like this. (I also did the USS Cod in Cleveland last year...you can find it here on this site or on the left-hand subject column of my blog.)
I'm going to try to get Requin in PA yet this year if I can.

GPMG Guy,

Thanks for the pix of Torsk.

Next time you're in the area and want a behind the scenes tour, let one of us aboard the boat know ahead of time and we can arrange it for you.

Regards,

Gil

Gil, thanks. That'd be fantastic.

Likewise, the next time you guys have a workday or need volunteer help, I'm game and not really that far away. I'd love to help and get more involved.

Well GPMG guy and those interested,

the volunteer crew is onboard almost every saturday (christmas to my knowledge is the only saturday off) and they start about 7:30 and go until???? normally no later then 5.  And if you would like to be apart of the annual work weekend, we are having it the first weekend in Oct and if'n ya let Gil know he can probably arrange to have ya sleep on the Torsk  for the entire weekend ;)

Batfish does have a volunteer crew.  Starting in Oct. we'll be working every other weekend on the deck and other areas - we limit it to monthly during hot weather.

Presently I work week-ends. Any use for a volunteer during the week? And the week-end work party sounds great. I only wish that I could take the week-end off for it.
