Canadian Oberon museum boat
« on: September 11, 2008, 09:00:34 AM »
Folks,

the Canadian's ALMOST got one of their "O" boats put on land for a museum until it rolled over while coming out of the water, while it was only 30 degrees it was enough to stall the move until '09.  :'(

Here is da link for the museum and what happened, go through the guy's website also because he has pics of ALL of their "O" boats there when he was on them in the dead fleet and most look as if you could put a coat of paint on them and fire the diesels back up and go back to sea on them once more.

Now, as tragic as this is, for some twisted reason I think it would be pretty cool to see in person right now.  Am I weird?

I know a lot of guys who served on those boats and believe me, they loved them!  We bought them off the Brits and they were beautiful, unlike our last purchases!  >:(

More later, Hairball.
