What did you get for Christmas?
« on: December 27, 2008, 04:53:09 PM »
OK Christmas is over so what did you get for Christmas that you were not expecting or something that you really wanted?  :coolsmiley:

The wife and I decided to get something for each of us - so we got an antique street light from Philadelphia that was once an old gas lamp.  Once the ground thaws out I have to get a new lamp pole and install it. I'll post pictures then.

I also got a webcam that I was not expecting and have been having fun with it talking to my cousin in California and the wife's oldest son in Nashville.  Too cool.  Hooked up easy and then I installed Skype (for free) and use Skype as if it was a phone.  Video conferencing is too cool!  Any of you guys got one - let's hook up.

By the way www.skype.com is a free service that allows you to make phone calls over the Internet to regular phones at the other end for free.  The other party does not need a webcam!

We too received the highest electric bill we've ever received.  Ugh.

I got lots of clothes, some cash, a few DVDs (including "Destination Tokyo"), and a book that I'd been wanting to read "Around the World Submerged - The Voyage of the Trition" by Ned Beach.  Lord knows I need more books to read while in all these waiting rooms until the baby comes.

We put away all of the Christmas things today, must be some kind of record.  We are prepping the back room for a baby room now.

My Wife got me some new earrings made out of horn. Some stuff for my book shelves. I got severial movies (Platoon ~sweet~). For some reason I got a small bottle of liquor, when they know I don't drink.

We got a ton of baby stuff though. Not like we needed more baby clothes but the good part is we are well stocked for the first year and a half.

It's not what I received but what I lost. >:(  Somebody stole my old street lamp from in front of my house.  It was really neat........used to be gas.  I wonder who would do such a thing? :knuppel2:
